Of Birthdays and Celebrations

Well well well! Just a quick update in the life of Xi-Wei, and a li'l of Andrew and Farand as far as I know...

1. It was my birthday on the 26th! Had an awesome time staying at M Hotel, with the can-buy-a-house-with-two-dogs tab at the J Restaurant in the hotel, and the Lychee Martinis and the Cosmos at the J Bar! Music was decent, ambience was good, company and drinks was fantastic! Johnny boy, the next time you're going ta J Bar, you have but to say the word... and I'll see if I wanna go. M Hotel is a cool, trendy, sexy place to go, if you're feeling reasonably wealthy and wanna a slick place to chill.

2. Te-pastry by KevinBakeries! Found a new awesome place to chill with my homies, with superb and discounted food, and a possible close link to in future...;-) Never mind that he happens to be my uncle, it's sexily good, from an unbiased point of view! For those staying in the East, it's the new cafe in the condo Makena. Pizzas, scones and apple pie will never look the same outside again.

3. Ed-Bangers@Zouk! Just came back from the Ed-Bangers event at Zouk last night, and I swear, the crowd in Zouk's getting kinda weird. Music was awesome to the core (Uffy and Sebastian were so damn good, I swear, God was nodding his head), but the people were kinda a disappointment.
First off, there were too many guys.
Second, a portion of those guys were there BECAUSE there were too many guys.
Third, there were a buncha losers who kept trying to be the center of the crowd, and when that didn't work out that well, tried diving to create the center.
Fourth, the Ang Moh chicks were pretty damn hot, but were making out with ang moh guys instead of each other... the price of drinks must have gone up.
On hindsight though, there were a few consolations to the whole night, one being that I chilled with cousins whom I've never chilled with before, despite being good friends all our lives, and will definitel chill with again! Secondly, my cousin's friend was pretty much the second sweetest girl in the world, if not for my Cynthia! (Yes, definitely. I'm sure of it. No doubt about that.) Lastly, Zion Road Char Kway Teow. A $5 plate, with $1 extra hum.

Life is good. Let's keep it that way, shall we peeps? Holla!
